Noor Khan is a university student at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. She attended her first year of university in online classes during the COVID pandemic. Here are the experiences she shared with Palette under our Learning and Teaching During COVID series.

These are some things Noor found difficult to cope with during the pandemic:

“Adjusting to video calls, exposure to the software eventually led to untroubled usage. Excessive screen time led to eye strain, headaches, muscle aches from bad posture. Learned to take breaks and not overwork.”

Here are some things Noor was pleased with during the pandemic:

“Saved time not commuting to campus, able to work in terms of my own schedule, and I’m able to spend more time with my family.”

These are the technologies Noor used in her online classes:

“Zoom, Teams, Avenue”
