As I’ve covered the basics of keys, scales, and chords, my new Palette series will include songs I’ve played and recorded on the piano. I’ve played piano on and off for almost two decades but started playing super regularly in May 2020. This series includes short clips of me playing a song’s main parts because I post these videos on Instagram, and there is a time limit for how long Instagram videos can be.
I started 2022 by including the following songs in my series:

I chose Celebration to celebrate New Year’s Day; Tom Sawyer in memory of Neil Peart, Rush’s drummer, on his second death anniversary on Jan. 7; Under Pressure in memory of David Bowie on his sixth death anniversary on Jan. 10, Born This Way as one of my Motivational Monday messages and Beautiful as encouraging words for Canada’s Bell Let’s Talk Day. I picked to play the others because they are some of my favourite songs.
