With a current increase in water scarcity from overpopulation and global warming, we are on the lookout for new solutions. Although we use various practices such as desalinating oceans, drilling into the ground and rainwater harvesting, they haven’t been very convenient or efficient. However, SOURCE Global, one of the many transnational corporations around the globe, is seeking to harvest water from the atmosphere in the hopes of aiding water-scarce regions. To achieve this, the company is using built-in sustainable solar panels which they call Hydropanels. A fitting name, isn’t it? Vahid Fothui, the vice president of the company based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa states, “You’re able to harvest water from the air using solar and nothing else, no need for electricity, no need for (a) grid, no need for infrastructure — it’s perfectly self-sufficient.”

How do these panels work? Fans in the panel pull in outside air and push it through a water-absorbing material, which captures water vapour. The water vapour is later removed and condenses into liquid, which is collected in the reservoir actively. After it is collected, minerals like magnesium and calcium are added to help improve the taste and provide health benefits. Hydropanels have produced 1.5 million litres of water each year in Dubai, where the company’s largest water farm is located. SOURCE’s main leisure offering is now located in a luxury desert camp in Dubai, where their Hydropanels generate drinking water on-site. It demonstrates the scaling of these water generators, according to Fotuhi, which might be as little as one panel in a family house or as large as a number of panels deployed at a huge resort. With over 2 billion people in our world today living in countries experiencing high water stress and scarcity, technologies like the ones being developed by SOURCE are needed.

Hi there this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
Hi Alan!
Blogs require little to no coding experience. WordPress is a great site to start as it provides many templates specifically made for blogging. You can use WYSIWYG editors or HTML coding. It’s all about preference, but since you are not familiar with coding, just use a template! You can definitely start a blog easily! You can reach me at maha@palettemagz.com for any further inquiries!
You should be a part of a contest for one of the highest quality blogs on the web. I most certainly will highly recommend this web site!

Hi! I’m Maha, the owner of Palette Magz. It’s great to see that you are interested in blogging! During the beginning when we were starting up the website and such, it did take some effort and time but I wouldn’t say it was extremely difficult. If you are new to blogging, I would recommend starting with sending other magazines your work. You’ll become more comfortable in the space through this. Feel free to send your work to Palette at submissions@palettemagz.com ! I can also provide constructive criticism if you wish.
