Jean Goh is a grade 11 student at Secondary school in Singapore. She attended grade 11 classes in school and online during the COVID pandemic. Here are the experiences she shared with Palette under our Learning and Teaching During COVID series.

Problems Jean faced during the pandemic include:

“Boredom, internet lags, distractions, and video call platform failure.”

However, there were still some positives for Courtney during this time:

“Less stress, increased time management and pacing.”

Technologies Jean used during the new online learning  :

“Laptop, headphones, study lamp, mouse, wifi router, and stable electricity.”

She feels there was also a huge impact of COVID-19 on her and students’ life outside of school:

“Mentally, relationship wise. Physical (exercise), social (reduced interaction, increased family ties).”
