Mixing Campus Learning with Online Flexibility

Ms Anonymous (name kept private on her request) is a grade 10 student and studied on campus during the COVID pandemic in Lethbridge, Canada. Nevertheless, she had to study online too on occasions. Here are the experiences she shared with Palette under our Learning and Teaching During COVID series.

Here are some difficulties that she went through:

“Managing time and taking responsibility for learning.”

However, there is always a bright side to everything:

“I think that the greatest thing about learning from home was the flexibility that came with the responsibility.”

Here are some technologies she used for her learning online:

“Computer/laptop, headphones, Microsoft, Zoom”

She also faced trouble outside of school due to the COVID pandemic:

“I was not able to talk to as many people as I used to and I find myself not socializing as much.”
