She was waiting.
In the darkness which surrounded her
She grew herself a garden
And it shielded her from the world
She was waiting for him.
He was a snake that looked into her eyes
Turning her into stone
To stand, waiting for eternity
The deep, dark colours embraced her
But she could only sink into their thorns
And wait and long for him
Frozen in a moment in time
He is gone.
He left her long ago, all alone
In a garden of lush green
He did not know she was trapped there
He left gardens
With every step he took
Without seeing the statues
He created with the flowers
They could not let go
Of the beauty that encompassed them
The moment in time
That he had already walked past
