It’s a dark world, and not just at night
That’s something I’ve known since childhood
But I’ve always looked for hints of light
Found all the candles that I could
I recently realized something worth laughter
I could see in the dark the whole time
For the light that I constantly sought after
Came from within, it was mine
The coolest thing about perspective
Is that you see what your mind tells you to
The world is simply just reflective
Of the light that is inside of you
It’s a light world, even at night
For even in darkness, the moon glows
It hints at a tomorrow that shines bright
So hold onto the hope that it shows
