Our product features a global assortment of snacks bundled together into a small, aesthetically pleasing box. Our box includes candies from several continents, coming from South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and North America. We offer a unique local product at a great price that contains an elusive and unique selection of candies from all around the world. As a Calgary-based establishment, we aim to provide our customers with local access to a whole new realm of flavours. We know that with the trending growth of influence and global exposure from social media, today’s audience has a keen eagerness to try snacks and products from all sorts of global cultures. In support of this trend, we created this product to help others explore the flavours of the world and welcome the unknown. Our constantly evolving exotic blend of snacks allows for a great opportunity to experience the wonderful taste of foreign delicacies. Snaqit is a local youth entrepreneurial venture run by students across grades 9 to 12. Our first meeting as a company began in October 2021—back then, just a group of strangers with a common desire to (1) gain entrepreneurial experience and (2) build an exceptional business from scratch. After lighthearted icebreakers, we began to form a company culture surrounded by positivity, charisma, and creativity. Within a few weeks, we had already solidified what our product was going to encapsulate and began structuring departments for our respected members. With that, we began electing executive positions and started working away. Of course, the journey was not without difficulties. Miscommunication, indifference, and several other details were presented mercilessly. But with great employee dedication, frequent and organized meetings, and a general sense of optimism and strong work ethic, we were able to bring ourselves to who we are today; a small, humble company that sells candy boxes full of gratitude, confidence, and love.
Snaqit would likely not be as successful if it weren’t for the vital contributions of our team. Our executives Darcy, Caroline, Ben, Karina, Andy, Jessica and Tony have kept our company thriving and organized ever since their election. All 23 members of our company have shown remarkable dedication to their work and to the company, creating a humorous, passionate, and welcoming atmosphere. All such work has paid off in a big way, as seen in team spirit and company success; Happy and efficient workers make for an excellent company! As president and CEO of National Information Solution Cooperative (NISC), Vern Dosch said, “It is equally important to have a happy and engaged workforce as it is to have a profitable bottom line.” Snaqit understands its roots starting within the COVID-19 pandemic and is sensitive to such matters. We have taken many precautions concerning the health and safety of both the production team and the rest of the company. Strict protocol mandating the sanitation of all individual packages of candy, masking, and social distancing are all implemented in the production process of our boxes. Production event sizes have also been limited. For the protection of both customers and staff, these contamination control protocols will be strictly held for all present and future production events. Consumers will be comfortable knowing the snacks and the box are sanitized and safe.
As a local company supporting other local establishments, we are dedicating a share of our profit to a chosen charity. This year, Snaqit has decided to support the fight against the hunger crises across Canada by funding the Calgary Food Bank with tasty treats. 15% of all our profit will go towards the Calgary Food Bank following our program-dictated liquidation in March 2022.
