Allina Rheyn is a grade 11 student at Talisayan National High School in Zamboanga City, Philippines. She attended grade 11 classes online during the COVID pandemic. Here are the experiences she shared with Palette under our Learning and Teaching During COVID series.

Here are some things that Allina had difficulty with:

“Well, we’re mixed, like online meetings and studying and answering through modules. This I don’t prefer because I prefer a teacher or someone actually teaching/explaining to me.”

Here are some productive things that happened during the pandemic:

“I liked being able to stay at home while studying, I can freely listen to music and take breaks whenever.”

These are some impacts Allina went through outside of her school work:

“Not meeting my friends and family, and also not being able to take a walk like i would usually do every afternoon.”

Here are some of the technologies she used for her online class learning:

“Computer, Zoom and Cellphone”
