Veronica Cheon is a grade 11 student at Henry Wise Wood Senior High in Calgary, Canada. She attended grade 10 and 11 classes online during the COVID pandemic. Here are the experiences she shared with Palette under our Learning and Teaching During COVID series.

Here is what troubled Veronica during the pandemic:

“Online learning wasn’t horrible, and it was tolerable with most classes… finding incentive to be motivated and do my schoolwork on my own was a bit challenging.”

These are some of the things that were progressive for Veronica:

“Working with home the first quarantine gave me freedom of time, and leniency to do how much I pleased when I pleased, however this time around with set class times this was an impossibility.”

Here are all the kinds of technologies she used during her online learning:

“Google meet, D2l, Schoology”
