//How my grandpa gave new meaning to words//

After today buried its lightness in the scary darkness of this night/ the only surviving source of light I had was *baba agba’s* white garment. So,he came closer/ tapped my shoulder/ & whispered to me. Son, O Son ! Tell me about love, do you know anything about grief? What’s happiness? Who’d you refer to as your enemy & who’s a loser?

Something pitched me to speak & i did~ Baba agba, haven’t i procure the laden of vocabulary development beyond this height? Well,

Love is what brings couples together for a journey of forever/ what makes ’em see each other as flawless with lorry loads of shortcomings/ love is what connects the heart/ grief is fright/ Happiness is when butterflies hover around our tommy/ my enemy is whoever hates me/ & a loser is he that fails out of college.

Baba agba’s fatigued legs began to ache, so he invited me down into his hut, Son, love isn’t what your dictionary said it to be; it’s the carefree smile worn by the innocent face of a month old child/ how pure and truthful it is/ grief is when children are to be slaughtered in their parents’ presence & happiness? It’s how we feel when it rains after a semi permanent drought/ your enemy is your friend that befriends your enemy/ & a loser is a snake that crawls on mountains without leaving behind any modicum of traces.

**Baba agba means: An aged man..
