3 Educational Anime You Should See Today

A lot of people see anime as a source of entertainment and distraction. However, anime can also provide a rich source of information and subliminal education. Aside from the action and exciting storylines, many people admit that they have learnt a thing or two about life from watching Anime.

Here are 3 of the most educational anime in recent times that you can clearly learn from and have a better understanding of real-world experiences.

Set in a post-apocalyptic time, Dr Stone is about a science major in college and his friends who were turned to stone, along with the rest of the world. 3 thousand years later, Senku Ishigami and his group of friends were later unpetrified. It became their task to rebuild the world while turning every other human being back to normal. Of course, things do not turn out so simple and Senku, along with his friends, had to learn from certain mistakes and make some choices. This anime is educational because the writer was able to infuse a rich knowledge of Chemistry and Physics, teaching the viewers the required ingredients to build certain things. It became a case of Science versus brawn and of course, science won.

The anime teaches about people management, about finding alternative solutions to things as well as friendship and working smart. While some of the formulas were altered so the audience doesn’t have access to make things like gunpowder and the likes, it is a great show to inspire the love for science.

My Hero Academia is a show that educates its audience on perseverance and working with one’s uniqueness. Set in a time when 80% of the world was gifted superpowers, a young boy named Izuku Midoriya did not get his despite idolizing the number one hero at the time (All Might). Due to some events, Izuku proved himself to be a hero material when he threw himself into danger without any clue. This made All might bestow his power on Midoriya, leading to his journey to becoming a hero at the academy.

This anime teaches the lessons of perseverance, strategy, paying attention to details and teamwork. It also teaches selflessness and how one can use their uniqueness to surmount great odds.

Attack on Titan is one of the greatest anime of all time. This is because it has a great storyline as well as beautifully drawn anime. Most importantly, Attack on Titan teaches strategy, life lessons about managing grief and spares no favourites from getting eaten up “Game of Thrones” style.

Attack on titan proves itself an educational watch when it displays how military strategy can help a small group defeat tower-sized titans. It is set in a city enclosed within walls that were erected to protect it from the man-eating titans that roamed. Sadly, one titan from beyond the wall broke through, leading to an invasion that led to the death of the protagonist’s mother. This grief led him to enrol to become one of the Titan slaying corps members, unlocking different levels of twists, suspense and amazing storyline.

One lesson that Attack On Titan teaches is that even the most unskilled soldier can become a fierce enemy with enough training and perseverance. Another lesson is that it is important to take in the collective good over personal grudges as was seen in the case of Eren’s escape from the female titan.

  2. I think Cells at Work is really great at education too! It’s about personified cells well, working in the body and is able to explain their different roles very well! There’s also Heaven’s Design Team which goes into why animals can exist the way they do, and why others like the unicorn can’t. These are both super creative recommendations! The only one I have seen a bit briefly is My Hero Academia, since three of the voice actors of it, are some of my heroes in my life, because it is super interesting to me having a school for heroes in training, and also people being able to be born with powers/quirks of their own. Since why it’s my favourite or the one I only watched out of the three!
